Political scientist Prof. Eyal Chowers is an expert of the history of the Zionist political thought. Among other fields. He teaches political theory at Tel Aviv University. His book, "The Political Philosophy of Zionism: Trading Jewish Words for a Hebraic Land", was published by Cambridge University Press in 2012. We discussed politics & language within the context of Zionism (as opposed to other national movements of the 19th & 20th century). We also discussed how delicate is the balance of power in liberal democracy (restricted vs. unrestricted) and how Zionism became a "bad word” in academic circles, the perception of Zionism as a remnant of colonialist Europe.
