Dr. Raz Zimmt, Director of the Iran and Shiite Axis Program at the INSS and a research fellow at the Alliance Centre for Iranian Studies at TAU

Israel-born Dr. Raz Zimmt is the director of the Iran and Shiite Axis Program at the INSS (Institute for National Security Studies) and a research fellow at the Alliance Centre for Iranian Studies at TAU. He holds master's and doctoral degrees in Middle Eastern history from Tel Aviv University and a bachelor's degree in Islamic and Middle Eastern history from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His doctoral thesis, supervised by Prof. David Manshari and Prof. Eyal Zisser, dealt with Iranian foreign policy toward Nasserism and Arab radicalism between 1954 and 1967.
