Prof. Karen Avraham, Human Molecular Genetics Biochemistry

Prof. Karen Avraham, who was born and raised in North America, is the first female Dean of TAU’s esteemed Faculty of Medical & Health Sciences, overseeing the operations of a major training and research institution in Israel. The faculty is responsible for the training of health care practitioners and researchers, with over 5K students.

In this new episode of TAU Unbound, Prof. Avraham discussed with host Ido Aharoni the scope of her work, her faculty’s outreach and impact, as well as her own expertise in the area of hearing disorders research. Prof. Avraham is also a Professor at the Department of Human Molecular Genetics & Biochemistry at her Faculty. She also serves as the Drs. Sarah and Felix Dumont Chair for Research of Hearing Disorders and is a member of the Sagol School of Neuroscience, the Safra Center for Bioinformatics and the Jan Koum Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.
